Symptom
Add Watermarks to Photos (Pro) is on, but the gallery still shows the original images.
Cause
Watermarked copies do not exist yet for the settings in force. That happens when:
- Generation is still running.
- Autogenerate was off when the images were uploaded.
- The watermark settings changed after the copies were generated.
- The image format is not supported: SVG, AVIF and BMP are skipped.
- The GD or the Fileinfo PHP extension is missing on the server.
Fix
Open Visual Portfolio → Settings → Watermarks and read the status line, which counts the copies made so far, for example 12 of 340 images already watermarked.
- Click Bulk Generate to make the missing copies.
- Turn Autogenerate on so new uploads are watermarked as they arrive.
- If an extension is missing, the tab names it. Ask your host to install GD and Fileinfo.
