# Gallery shows no images on WordPress 7.2

Galleries on WordPress 7.2 need Visual Portfolio 3.9.0 or newer, and Visual Portfolio Pro 3.9.0 or newer when Pro is active. Older versions show galleries without their images.

## Symptom

After WordPress is updated to 7.2, a gallery keeps its layout, titles and filter, but the item images are missing. Album items of Pro show empty tiles. In the block editor, the **Settings** panel of the **Posts** source opens empty.

## Cause

With lazy loading on, plugin versions before 3.9.0 print each gallery image after a fallback for browsers without JavaScript. WordPress 7.2 drops everything after that fallback when it filters the markup, so the image is lost. The images in your Media Library and the gallery settings are not changed.

## Fix

1. Go to **Dashboard → Updates**.
2. Update Visual Portfolio to 3.9.0 or newer.
3. If Pro is active, update Visual Portfolio Pro to 3.9.0 or newer as well.
4. Clear the page cache of your caching plugin or host, so visitors get the pages with images.

If you cannot update yet, go to **Visual Portfolio → Settings → Images** and set **Lazy Loading** to **Disabled**. Galleries show their images again. Set it back after the update.

Version 3.9.0 needs PHP 8.3 or newer. If WordPress does not offer the update, check the PHP version on [Requirements](https://www.visualportfolio.com/docs/getting-started/requirements/).
